Peer Review Process

Al-Ta’lim is an electronic journal published by Faculty of Islamic Education and Teacher Training, State Institute for Islamic Studies Imam Bonjol Padang-West Sumatra Indonesia. The research article submitted to this online journal will be peer-reviewed at least by 2 (two) reviewers. The final decision of the acceptance or rejection of the article is made by Editor -in-Chief based on the comments given by the reviewers.  Screening of plagiarism will be done by utilizing Google Scholar and/or Viper. The accepted research articles will be available online following the journal peer-reviewing process. Language used in this journal is English or Arabic.

Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

All articles published Open Access will be immediately and permanently free for everyone to read and download.  We are continuously working with our author communities to select the best choice of license options, currently being defined for this journal as follows:

This journal utilizes the LOCKSS system to create a distributed archiving system among participating libraries and permits those libraries to create permanent archives of the journal for purposes of preservation and restoration. More...

In 2020, "Al-ta'lim" becomes accredited and sophisticated journal with an international reputation for publishing innovative articles worldly education.



Al-Ta'lim ", the journal of the Faculty of Islamic Education (Tarbiyah) and Imam Bonjol Teacher Training Padang have a mission to:

  • Periodically publishes scientific journals as a medium for faculty to develop academic competence and higher education to realize trivial. 
  • Publishes scientific articles that are eligible for standard and accredited journals relevant to the field of education. 
  • Publish scientific articles as a source of high-quality reference in related disciplines. 
  • Encouraging lecturers (especially in the Faculty of Islamic Education and Teacher Training) to produce quality articles that are very competitive locally, nationally, and internationally.
